Vastu Consultation on home plan -Kolhapur

Dear Sir,

One of the local vastu consultant  has  adviced some changes in our house but we could not find them effective after implementation. Please provide some quick remedies-Kadam, Mahalaxmi Nagar, Kolhapur

Findings:-
  1. Shape of the plot is irregular and has extention at north West (Type of fault-Major vastu defect)
  2. The construction of the site is made towards the north and north east, leaving more open space on south and west (Type of fault-Major vastu defect)
  3. Kitchen falls in north east zone(Type of fault-Major vastu defect)
  4. Septik tank at south west in open plot (Type of fault-Major vastu defect)

Suggestions:-

Based on 21 vastu energy efficient techniques, we suggest to implement the following vastu remedies:-
  1. Create vastu virtual boundry to cut off the  excess margin with vastu pyramid dividers towards the south and west (Zone balancing  & Energy partition)
  2. Since Excess margin was cut off with the vastu strips as suggested above , the septic tank moves outside the plot & hence the defect is rectified.
  3. Additional cures were made by installing a lead metal blocks & planting a audumber tree at south west (metal cure & vastu environment)
  4. Solar energy should be introduced by installing copper sun with surya yantra on east wall of the living area inside the house
  5. Kitchen should be shifted to south east of the house. Initially you can use vastu copper arrow to shift the kitchen virtually without moving it physically at south east. (Energy shifters)
  6. Bed room at south-east should be shifted to north-east which can be used by children and occasional guest.  If not shifted, use green quartz crystal in bowl at south east corner to save from negative impact for bed room being in south-east corner. (power crystal)

Top 5 ways to improve your kitchen’s energy

Our DNA Article on 13.08.2016

Top 5 ways to improve your kitchen's energy

Ensure these while designing the room that impacts your health and wealth
It is said that the location of the kitchen has a big impact on our wealth. As a place of food preparation, no doubt it has big impact to our health too. If we stay healthy, we can accomplish many things and remain successful and happy. When everything is in harmony, food will taste better, be easier to digest, and healthier as well.
This vital balance of energy, applies to everything in your environment, including the food with which you nourish your body. There are easy to follow rules of vaastu shastra that one can easily incorporate.
1. Using natural materials is one of the fundamental tenets of creating a harmonious energy in the kitchen. You feel better if surrounded with the natural materials used in the kitchen. Wooden cabinets, wooden accessories, cotton napkins, bamboo baskets etc. are good examples of the natural material.
2. Food preparation in a windowless space discourages you from cooking. The kitchen should have a link with the outdoors, with nature, as this brings creative cooking energies. Keep live plants, especially herbs in the kitchen window.
They are great for cooking and represent positive health energy, while making you feel good. Positive energy will also flow more freely throughout the entire kitchen.
3. Kitchen is the heart of a home and so it should be warm and welcoming. Keep drawers and cabinets organized all the time. Hiding clutter is not a solution; so take the time to organise and neatly arrange your kitchen items in every drawer and cupboard. The knowledge that all is in perfect order will affect your mindset; encouraging a feeling of tranquillity and well being.
The food we eat deserves to be prepared in a fresh and clean environment which will help you live healthier. Keep only essential appliances and items that are used daily on the counter such as a tea pot, toaster, salt, etc.
Put the rest of the things into drawers and cupboards including knives, spoons and the stacks of small containers that regularly seem to accumulate in a kitchen.
4. Storing old, stale or expired food energetically holds you in the past and drains you of the vital energy that is needed to live an inspired life. It is advisable to keep the contents of your refrigerator current and create the energy to welcome the right opportunities in life.
5. The colour scheme in the kitchen should be of light colour ranges like pista green, lemon yellow, light ivory and pink. It is bad to use darker colours like black, grey and maroon for the kitchen. Also a strong red is not comfortable for it.
Above all, create time to gather around the dining table and share meals together to encourage family harmony.

Representative sculptures have multiple implications

Analysing and understanding the significance of idols and symbolic items used in home d├ęcor from a vaastu perspective
(Our this article was published in DNA news paper on 11 June 2016
Essential Elements

Idols are like a symbol, something visible representing something invisible. They are not just decorative pieces made by sculptors but are guiding channels through which our heart is attracted towards the higher self.
Lord Kubera
Kubera is the god of wealth and the lord of Uttaradisha (north direction). He is also known as Dhanapati, the lord of riches. He is one of the guardians of the directions, representing the north according to vaastu shastra.
Goddess Annapurna
Annapurna is the Goddess of Nourishment, who is full, complete, and perfect with food and grains. According to vaastu shastra, a small brass idol of Annapurna placed in the rice jar brings abundance to prosperity in the family.
Elephant
The elephant is a sacred animal for many oriental cultures and carries a great amount of symbolism. An elephant is a symbol of strength, power, virility, longevity, fidelity, dignity, intelligence and wisdom. Place a pair of elephants with their trunks up the front door of homes or offices to bring good fortune and strength to the family.
When placed in the bedroom, the elephant brings harmony and promotes love and fidelity among couples. The elephant also symbolizes fertility because Buddha is said to be conceived when he entered his mother's womb as a white elephant. Childless couples or those wishing to have more children should place elephant images in their bedroom to increase fertility.
Sun
The solar radiation that reaches earth acts as a main source of vitamin D for the sustenance of life on this planet. Without it, life on the earth would not flourish. In modern architecture, every house does not have access to morning sun rays. According to research done by vaastu experts, being deprived of morning sun rays could result in to poor health conditions.
Such vaastu defects can be corrected by fixing a painting or symbol of sun on east wall of the house or business locations.
Medicine Buddha
The Medicine Buddha is depicted sitting on a lotus throne (the lotus flower is the symbol of purity of mind and of the earth) in the posture of vajrasana (also known as the diamond position, which was assumed by Buddha Shakyamuni on the last day before his enlightenment). With his left hand he forms the gesture of absolute balance.
The gesture signifies the state in which objective consciousness is removed. The gesture was assumed by the Buddha as he sat under a fig tree where he submerged himself in meditation and it helped him reach a state of deep reflection. The left hand forms the gesture of comfort and fearlessness, which signifies blessing and protection.
Meditating with a medicine Buddha creates great therapeutic energy, which is useful for healing oneself and others.
Lion
As the king of the animal world, the lion stands for battle and power. In western culture, the lion stands for fire, the sun, and gold. When kings and people of authority wanted to display their wealth, power, and prestige to the outside world, they would place sculptures of lions at the entrances to their houses or in the palace garden. The lions informed everybody entering that this was the residence of an important person who demanded respect.
In Chinese culture, the lion is a symbol of protection for the entrance to a building. The lion pair always stands outside the front door to protect against bad luck entering the house. At many places entrance gates that are guarded by lions are also called lion gates.
Shankha
Shankha or conch shell with images of Lord Ganesha is believed to ward off all negativities and bring harmony and auspiciousness to the home. The presence of Lord Ganesha paves the way for Riddhi and Siddhi.

Vastu Shastra in Modern way of Living-Balance energy levels

Vastu Shastra in Modern way of Living

Using vaastu shastra principles today means finding solutions that fits in with the modern way of living. Modern life offers conveniences such as cell phones, computers, electric fire and modern furnishings. On the other hand, the natural environment is polluted by the presence of such electric appliances in and around our residence and offices. It is so important to control and manage such harsh energy and bring it back at a harmonious level.
The principles of vaastu guide anyone to be in tune with his or her environment, which includes interior or exterior space, objects, lights, etc. and explains how this affects one at a mental and physical level.
It is always advisable to use natural wooden furniture instead of steel and glass furniture in your personal environment. Natural fabrics like linen or cotton offer comfort and soothing natural energy.
Plants represent new beginnings and creativity. They work as an air filter and help in balancing humidity in your home. Avoid thorny plants, which can convert positive energy into negative. Even if you are living in an apartment, plants in a hanging basket on the window, or a planter on the window sill will draw a serene energy.
Hectic work schedules, working during weekends and the pressure of endless work responsibilities has increased tension levels in family life. According to vaastu, every house has a zone of tranquillity. A few minutes of meditation or prayer in this zone helps you to recharge yourself and also enhances the work stamina.
Pull all the curtains back during the day time to allow natural sunlight to give the positive energy to your house.
Beams, especially above the bed, study desk, cooking top, working desk, etc. are considered bad vaastu. Reposition your furniture arrangement to avoid serious bad luck.
Electro-stress is vibration energy not compatible to the human cells. When we come in contact with these man-made frequencies from household appliances, cell phones, computers, television, etc., which emit harmful radiations, it affects us. Try keeping them away while you are having rest. Using natural crystals near such gadgets will help in neutralizing the electro-stress.
Paintings and pictures of many popular animals like deer, elephants, horses, etc. also create a positive environment in your house. Avoid using paintings of wild animals like lion, tiger, leopard, etc. inside the home.
Vastu Shastra actually elevates the exisiting theme of your home without demanding too many renovations or reconstructions in modern time also
