The water element is one of the strongest elements of Vastu Shastra. Water is what gives life to our planet. Without it, we would not exist. Water is the essence of life. Water has always been synonymous with authority & power. During ancient times, water has been used as an elemental solution by the kings by placing their palaces near bodies of water. If you look at the world’s most capital cities today, they are either located near the water or have large rivers or lakes nearby. The majority of ocean-side and lake-side properties are usually more expensive.
Do not lock your luck
Waterbody near the house or business premises is a good placement because it keeps the energy flowing and prevents it from being "locked". Its real essence speaks of movement and the flow of life. It invites everyone to move & bend and not to stay rigid or to struggle. Moving and flowing water can encourage those who come into contact with it to accept continual change and not to struggle unnecessarily in life.
If properly applied, the water element can make a world of difference. Water installed in the wrong direction might have the reverse effect on you and the inhabitants of your premises.

WATER ELEMENT –VASTU TIPS
1. The body of water should not be too huge compared to the actual premises or it can energetically dominate the site and weaken the occupant's growth.
2. Shape and placement of the body of water are very important. The best place according to Vastu Shastra is in the northeast zone. It should not be on the edge of the northeast axis. Waterfalls and fountains create new energy flow in any environment. A well-placed fountain can have a beneficial impact on any space.
3. Fish aquariums are another powerful water energizer. Fish tanks are a combination of water and living energy that stimulates the flow of new energy flow. Aquariums with fish are notorious for bringing good luck, fortune, and a stream of wealth to the occupants. You will also find them in many corporate houses, hotels & restaurants.
Aquariums are a combination of beauty and auspiciousness. They present an alluring mix that is not only aesthetically pleasing, but also conjures up thoughts of the good luck it brings to those who have one in their home or office space.
4. Avoid placing the fountain in the southeast area of the house or office, which is a location of the fire element, and because water puts out the fire it can have a dampening effect on your finances.
5. A beautiful Water body Painting symbolizes good fortune. Flowing water can ease tensions and allow the vibrations of the life force to enter our space, bringing flow of money with it. The waterfall painting will help channelize positive energy towards business and career.
6. Placing a water fountain at the doorway to your home can help deflect any negative energy that might be entering. Do not place two water fountains near the entrance. The beautiful sound of flowing water is one that has been shown time and again as therapeutic, soothing, calming; in other words: perfect for an office or home setting. The fountains are the best way to incorporate this healing element into your space without taking up large space at all. Circulating or moving water is more powerful than stagnant water.
7. Avoid fountains or fish tank in the kitchen. this may create a sick energy in to the kitchen.

I live in a island nation in the atlantic ocean in the Caribbean, west Indies.
I am planning to buy a house lot, it is a quarter of an acre 75ft wide and 140wide deep and is rectangle in shape.
The land has the main directions towards the corners. The front of the lot is having north and North west in equal halves and the back of the lot has SouthEast and South as the corners. At the back of the lot there is calm lagoon, ocean without any waves and gives a serene atmosphere. That said, each lot has its own ocean front and small beach.
The water is at the back of the land and from edge the land it is 3ft height gently slope for us to gradually to reach the water edge. Can I buy this land to build my dream house with water (calm lagoon, sea with little beach) which is technically in the SouthEast and South area of the land?
I heard from somebody, if you have water or ocean adjoining your land it has calming effect and can calm down all vastu doshas.
Please advise me accordingly.

According to vastu, water at south and south east near the house is not a good vastu arrangement.Please note that if the water is away from house at a distance of double the house length then it is not a vastu defect.

Hello, Flow of water is good but plot facing south west need a strong correction. Placement of kitchen, wash room, bed rooms etc are equally important when analysing the house from vastu point of view.

Very nice and interesting blog. I am planning to put up a wall mounted waterfall. It would be just opposite the front door of my flat. Flat door is facing west. So whenever anyone would enter they would see the waterfall just in front.
The wall where i am planning to put up the waterfall is shared by kitchen and the fire would be just behind the waterfall.
Please advise me if it would be alright to place the waterfall there.

North falls on a corner of my room and my room is overall square shaped.
-West corner,north-west wall: bedroom door
-North-west wall: small fridge
-North corner/north-east wall: my bed but I sleep in such a way that my head is more in East and my legs are pointing towards north-west. Behind my head, I have a small chest drawer(north-east wall) with clothes and cutlery/cooking pans. I don’t have a headboard for my bed. I also keep storage boxes under my bed.
-East corner : chairs, table and lamp.
-South-East wall : two large windows covering the whole wall. Also heater attached to the wall.
-South : in built washbasin
-South-west wall : book shelves, studying desk, chest drawer for clothes
-West corner, south-west wall: in-built closest (clothes hanging) and there is a full length mirror stuck on the inside of the closet door.
-There are no paintings or posters or mirrors on walls.
Concerns :
-Can I keep an air purifier (water) in my bedroom?
-How else can I move my bed.
Should I place my bed parallel to south-east wall, next to my two windows and keep my head in south but then 60cm away from my head is the in-built wash basin. So I don’t know if that is bad luck?
-Not finding jobs
-Delay in marriage
-my health is getting worse

i am generously sorry, nothing will happen if we keep the crystals in rock salt water , it cleans away all the unknown bad energy from the crystal deposited.
when u hang the crystals under the sun race and when the sun race travel from the crystal , it reflects rainbow colours falling in our house , that colours creats very positive energy in our house.
for best energies hang in open front of your doors and see the rainbow colours fall in your house.
i am generously sorry pooja. but clean/dip the crystals under rock salt water for 24 hrs to 48hrs for best effects.

If stairs are going down to the street towards north, then it is not a problem.
For anti clock stairse, you can use clockwise pyramid arrow to fix on each step for virtual correction. It is better to move stairs from centre, if not get the house examined as per vastu to correct the defect.

Since it is a major vastu defect, vastu treatment will not be 100% effective. Enhance fire zone by installing fire pyramid or fire bowl in the south east corner. Do some regular anna-dana (donating food) to save from negative impact.

Main door is most auspicious and the entry point of energy to the house. You should change the door soon as having a crack on door is a vastu fault. Vastu always suggest to decorate your main door with auspicious symbols & beautiful colours. Leaving main door in poor condition indicates weak & polluted vibrations in the house.

Since you have lower north west than the north east, it is considered as a vastu defect. Such things creates frequent obstacles or poor health.
But since you have a higher south zone, you have some relief.
Due to higher north east, your water element (north east) becomes weaker.
We suggest to keep a mangal kalasha containing water at north east zone.
Also a south west need to enhance by putting a square pole of about 3 feet height in jesalrmer stone.

I stay in a flat where the door is at 250 degrees West, and so our living room , and 2 bedrooms which are towards the north of the living room are all aligned in the same line and balconies and windows open into 70 degrees East. So we have the morning sunlight coming into all the bedrooms and the living room. Dear sir, I have a 1800 sq yards farm land. It's opening on North west direction with the approaching road running from North east to south west. The sides are uneven as the complete farm is angled differently but exclusively for my plot there is a river flowing from North west to south east directions means the water flows on the south west side of the land. Water element has located just opposite and has reduced the strength of earth element. First, introduce water element at north-east which should be lower than the south west swimming pool base level. North-east (Ishan ) corner is best for keeping a water element. Water body at east area (considering entire house) is ok for the water body. Temple at north east (tranquility zone) is the first option. You can also keep the same at east (center) if you do not have a space at north east.
You need to consider the constructed part and not the plot in your case.

Raise south zone of your plot so the water flows towards the north. Filling at south is better than doing a remedies. Make sure that your internal and external arrangments are made as per vastu . Good luck

I have read your article. I am constructing a pond with waterfall in my front ward. My house front faces toward south direction. And the pond is at south east direction. The waterfall starts from the east direction and the flow direction is towards south. After starting for digging, I thought it for making it in a vastu way. After reading many articles I found that north or north-east direction is good for water but that direction of our house is our backyard which is full of trees.
I am making it in the front yard for a beautiful look also. I have also read that water flowing towards south is very bad.So I have planned to change the waterfall starting point front east to south direction and the flow direction will be towards east that is towards the front of our house. Will it be okay.?

Avoid waterbody at south east zone. Even you make a correct flow of water, the location of water body in this zone is not recommended as per vastu. Use magnetic compass to check the direction.

Water tank at south east is a serious vastu defect. We suggest to inroduce one more water body at north east zone. Use vastu shift arrow made in copper for virtual corrections.

Kindly note that Underground water body at north east zone is fine. But there should not be pond should be at west or south zone.

As per your article, we intend to place a readymade fish pond with fountain (8ft long) that has flowing circulating water on the front part of the pond. Can we place it at the edge of the house, along the exterior wall, which is northeast? the house faces exactly north. Or should be away from the wall? How many feet away from the wall? I dont understand the part you mentioned about northeast axis. Which way should the flowing water on fountain face? Like u said, from south to north, west to east, if at northest, where should the flow face? We wont be about to view the pond and the flowing water if placed in this direction, it would be facing the neighbours house. Please advice. Appreciate your time. Thank you.
Please note that the flow of water should be towards east or north. Imagine that you draw a line from north east to south west corner. The pond should be on any one side at north east zone. So it does not come on the line.

My house faces a road running from west to east and also another road running from north west into that other road for Ming a T on the left of my home. The house opens to a water reservoir for the community. House is north facing.
The house is also on a elevation from the road. Please let us know the remedies if this is inauspicious.

East facing is not always guarantee that shop has a good vastu. You need to consider the surrounding as well. Is there any obstacle in front of the shop? I shop longer on east -west axis?. Any internal locations like toilets, loft etc.
If it is drainage put it on north west zone
1.) Shop is North-East AXIS.but shop is East facing.
2.) No obstacles in front of shop,tenements park there car sometimes in front of shop.
3.) No internal locations in shop like toilets , anything.
4.) Shop size is 300 Sqfeet and rectangular in shape.
Locations is always crowded with public in front of shop.
